I've held this email in my inbox for quite a while, unsure whether or not to take the leap.
My only concern is that I live in New Zealand, and don't earn a lot right now. Will this still be feasible in terms of getting decent rewards, and being accepted for the better-earning credit cards.

It's significantly harder abroad, and requires jumping through many hoops to get started. That said, a few people are doing it, so it's up to you.
I've always wanted to do something like Galapagos Islands. How did you get there? Day excursion or places to actually stay on the islands?
We stayed on a small cruise and we took tiny boats between the islands...
The only time I would ever do a cruise lol
