“A system does exactly what it’s designed to do.” -Unknown
Having a system in place and being able to strike while the iron is hot is absolutely essential in this game. This applies to health/fitness, business, and in all aspects of life.
The $10K threshold should be seen as an absolute bare minimum and should be achievable in your sleep for most.
Late last year and in early 2022, Amex had a tremendous offer. Cardholders of the Blue Business Plus card were able to receive an offer if they called in. Amex was offering up to 99 employee cards with a bonus of 20,000MR after $2,000 spend for each card. Those who opted in were able to get 99 additional cards in their own name, and when I chatted with Amex, they said that many do this to categorize and separate their spending. I called Amex, and they were able to put all the cards under my name and distinguish each one with a roman numeral (eg BowTiedBum I, BowTiedBum II, BowTiedBum III, BowTiedBum IV, BowTiedBum V, etc). I had six months total hit the spend on all of these cards. $2,000 spend on 99 cards = $198,000 to profit $21,780 via Schab cashout.
Note: Schwab cashout is for those with a Schwab brokerage account and the Schwab Platinum card. Amex lets you transfer the points to Schwab, where they can be cashed out at 1.1¢ per point.
Now $198,000 is near impossible to spend for most unless you have a Wi-Fi business. 99.99% of people in the US won’t spend that on their credit card organically in six months.
Creating a system where you can manufacture that spend is critical for success. I was able to hit that spend well before the six months were up, and went on to a new card. To be clear, you need a system where you can quickly hit lots of spend and get the money back. The paid substack contains one method, and a second one will drop later this week. Familiarize yourself with each method, figure out what works for you, and be able to take advantage of these lucrative deals as they pop up.
The game is constantly evolving, and there will always be offers that are too good to pass up. I’ll be prepared when they do. Will you?

So, you would have to say that you have 99 employees? Or that your business buy in 99 different categories? Or both?
