I’ve read every single post and every comment at least once. The content there (albeit a bit outdated now) was absolutely instrumental in shaping my mindset regarding WiFi Money and the importance of starting your own business.

It’s eye opening how much your life can change, just by knowing information that others don’t and reading material that others haven’t.

If you have an open mind and are willing to work hard…The sky is the limit.

There’s really only two steps to success in your WiFi Money journey:

1. ALFA (identifying what kind of information to consume and where to find it)

2. ACTION (taking action)

That’s it. It’s really that simple.

Let’s break down each step, and take a look.

ALFA

Back in 2014, when I would eagerly refresh the WSPB blog to see if there were any new articles…. They delivered pure ALFA with each blog post. Additionally, there was crazy ALFA in the comment section. Pure gold.

However, at times, it was tough to decipher exactly what they were talking about. You’d hear about anons bragging about making $100K+ a year with copywriting, Amazon FBA, Dropshipping, etc…. But you wouldn’t know how to get started. And you didn’t know whether the commenters were full of crap or not.

I suffered a few painful years of analysis paralysis and overthinking before I finally got started and had some success with affiliate marketing.

Today? It’s 1,000X easier. Most of the information you need to get started comes in a nice and neat prepackaged format, and gives you all the tools you need to get started.

Investing in Your Education

For those of you that went to college (vast majority of readers), you know how damn expensive it was. Your business courses contained outdated information taught by tenured, out of touch professors.

Why pay all that money on college, and then cheap out on tools that can help you earn more than your W-2? Twisted priorities.

Personally, between multiple WiFi Money venture I probably will spend around $10,000 in educational resources that will help me earn significantly more in 2023.

While it’s impossible to bat 1000%, you obviously want to make sure what you’re buying is legitimate, valuable, and will propel you to success. You want to avoid any false claims, scams, outdated info, etc.

Here’s how to put yourself in the best position for success.

How to Identify and Pick ALFA That Will Make You Money

Identify what kind of WiFi Money approach you want to take, and decide that you’re going to really commit and put in solid effort for AT LEAST 6 months to a year.

Once you choose between affiliate marketing, Amazon FBA, Ecom, etc… you need to figure out the BEST resource for learning, and you’re going to want to pay for it.

Sure you can learn about credit card churning by stumbling around on Reddit, reading outdated blogs, and trial and error. That might take 5-10 years and a lot of luck to get you up to speed with the members in the BowTiedBum community.

Or

You can buy a membership from someone that has done all the work for you and spoon-feeds you, saving you years of effort.

Remember, time is not on your side, and you want to put yourself in the best position for success.

What I Personally Look For

Like I mentioned, I personally pay a good amount of money on:

-ebooks

-courses

-coaching

-newsletters

-private communities (Slack, Discord, etc)

and more…

Here’s what you want to determine BEFORE making a purchase

-Is this a scam?

-Does this work?

-Have others had success with this (look for testimonials)

-Has this been vetted by the general Money Twitter population?

-Is this possible? Or will only a tiny percentage of people have success?

-How long will it take to consume all of the information?

-Is there a private community so I can get my questions answered? Or am I on my own after purchasing?

Again, an ebook can be great, a course is generally much better, and and anything that includes an ACTIVE Slack/Discord is elite. There are always scams on Money Twitter, and so it’s necessary to do some due diligence. If the product includes an active Slack/Discord it’s way harder to fake. Anyone can fake testimonials and use pictures of AI generated humans and write fake reviews. To maintain an active Slack/Discord with hundreds of fake users talking about their fake success would be next to impossible.

If I were interested in starting Amazon FBA, here’s step-by-step what I would do before starting and what my thought process would look like.

Step 1: I’d go on Twitter and do some research to see who the big players were in the Amazon Reselling space.

Step 2: I’d see if there were any BowTied accounts that were knowledgeable in this space. *Note* Just because someone has a BowTied account doesn’t mean they’re necessarily an expert. You would still need to do your due diligence and vet them.

Step 3: After connecting with people on Twitter and chatting with people that have had success with this course, I’d head over to the sales page and still do my own due diligence

Step 4: Deep dive into sales page. This product includes video courses, an ACTIVE Discord, and weekly coaching calls!

At $400, this is still criminally under priced. The standard for a course like this would usually be $997. For those of you who bought it at a lower price before the recent increase, you got away with highway robbery.

Most people will never comprehend spending so much on info products, until they start making many multiples of their purchase price. In this case, many will make over 5 figures their first year.

This product checks off all the boxes.

Q. What is this product claiming it can teach me?

A. This course teaches you all about Amazon FBA and how you can make $10K+ your first year

Q. What is my goal?

A. Learn Amazon FBA, get my first sales, and generate $10K+ my first year.

Q. How will this product help me achieve my goal?

A. The in depth course, weekly coaching calls, and active discord will help me learn everything I need to know to get started.

Q. What kind of support will I get to make sure I reach my goal?

A. I can ask others in the Discord who have had success, or ask BowTiedMahi specific questions in the weekly coaching calls.

Example 2: BowTiedBum

If you’re reading this, than you’ve already found me. So we can skip the first few steps I mentioned above.

Let’s look at what the BowTiedBum Community offers, and how it goes about ensuring your success.

Remember, your purchase should pay for itself MANY time over.

ACTION

I’ve got good news and bad news. The good news, is you already know how to identify winning products that will help you along your journey.

The bad news? ALFA is the easy part. ACTION is the hard part.

Think about it. When you walk down the street, how many people do you see in immaculate shape that are obviously taking really good care of their health and their bodies?

Now ask yourself this? How many people know (meaning they possess the information) how to get in great shape? It isn’t that hard. It requires discipline and long periods of pain before seeing results.

WiFi Money is no different. If it were easy, everyone on Money Twitter (including the reply guys) would be rich. Obviously, that’s not the case.

But there are a few strategies to make it easier:

1. Spend money on your damn education!

Again, yes you can learn by trial and error, but you want to fast track your success and learn as quickly as possible. Time is money. Identify a WiFi Money route, vet it thoroughly, and buy the tools that will help you start faster and easier. Side note - by purchasing a course or ebook, you’ll automatically be more invested in getting started anyway and you’ll psychologically be more willing to stick to it.

If you decide to cheap out? It’ll cost you long term. In a big way.

2. Embrace the Suck

Running your own business is a grind. It’s absolutely brutal. And it’s so worth it. Many people underestimate the work that goes into it, and only think about the money that can be made. It’s a day in and day out grind. You have to treat it like a full time job. Show up when you’re tired and don’t feel like it, and make sacrifices.

It obviously takes time, and that time has to come from somewhere, so you’ll need to learn how to manage your time better and prioritize what’s important.

You have to cut a lot of things out of your life. Plain and simple.

For me? It was all personal social media, TV, movies, and 99% of meaningless social events (drinks with your old friends at the bar). I still do that occasionally, but your business needs to be your #1 priority after your family, health, and W-2)

3. Don’t walk alone

Careful here. I don’t mean to start a 50/50 partnership with anyone. Those never work.

Rather, connect with like-minded individuals who are hustling as well. Whether it be on Twitter, WhatsApp, Slack, etc…You need to connect with other like-minded individuals so you can hold each other accountable.

Remember, there’s not many of us. Most people couldn’t fathom working a demanding W-2 and then going home and working on their own business at night and on weekends.

It doesn’t even have to be the same type of biz. I’ve made countless friends on Twitter, both BowTieds and others. I chat with them constantly, and it helps me keep the mindset I need to keep grinding day in and day out.

Finding and connecting with other like-minded hustlers will keep you going, even when you are ready to give up.

Time Frame and Bonus Note

Everyone asks how long it takes. Unfortunately, I can’t answer how long your journey will take.

But I can say this. If you truly grind and commit to putting in 6-12 months of effort, and have purchased resources that include a Slack/Discord, it’s almost impossible to fail.

Bonus Note

People are WAY more likely to reach out and help if they can clearly evidence that your are trying hard and giving it your all.
