Holy shit.
This. Is. Crazy.
It’s funny because I still get this feeling each time I go through the complete process of booking a free vacation.
I just wrapped up the finishing touches of what should be an epic Caribbean trip next week.
I got my QR code for my immigration ticket and booked the shuttle that will pick us up from the airport and take us to our 5 star all-inclusive resort where we’ll be spending the week.
We covered the entire trip on points, as we do for just about every trip we take.
But this is not intended to flex in anyway.
I started this Substack to teach everyone precisely how to do the same thing, and it’s been humbling to see you guys take action, follow the step-by-step advice and ball the fuck out and travel all over the world.
When I get back…
I’m going to drop a comprehensive post shortly after, detailing the entire process from A-Z.
How I earned the points
My thoughts during the booking process
How I chose the location
How I made sure I was getting the best redemption AKA bang for my buck
If this is your kind of thing, you’ll be able to follow along and book a similar trip for free in the not-so-distant future.
Bum Out of Office
Quick note, I’ll continue to drop paid posts every week that are jam packed with actionable advice on how to crush this credit card game and go on epic trips of your own for free.
I also plan on dropping more free posts (in addition to the weekly paid posts) that are a bit more laid back and just general updates of what’s going in my world and how I’m approaching the game.
As always, if you have anything you’d like me to write about you can request in the #postrequests channel in Slack.
If it’s a bit more informal you can DM me here or on Twitter and I can write about it in the free posts if it’s a more casual topic.
OOO
Next week Dec 7 - Dec 14, I’ll be mostly out of pocket.
I plan on getting to the resort and throwing my phone in the safe and not looking at it more than once or twice throughout the week.
Goal is to avoid burnout from a chaotic year, and spend quality time with my daughter and disconnect for a bit.
If you have any pressing questions before I’m gone, please feel free to ask in the Slack Group.
Good luck, and I’ll see you on the other side!
